The benefits for children learning martial arts are vast. There are several reasons why a parent would enroll their child in any of the great programs offered to them. In fact, across the world, children are training martial arts at a local academy and learning life lessons every day.
The iKALI curricula are taught by authorized instructors at official training facilities called Filipino Kali Academy (FKA). The Virtual FKA Junior Program on this site provides you with the very same syllabus and aims this program to train kids Ages 7 to 12 years old.
Who is this For?
1. The Novice. One of the challenges of any new student enrolling in an academy is building to courage to join group class. If confidence is an issue, it can prevent many children from ever stepping on the mat. The online program can provide a solution for kids who may feel hesitant being among a group. We will provide a mentor to support each student as well as the security for the child to train at home as well as feel the attention of the teacher and never feel left behind in the back of the room.
2. The Curious looking for more. It is the perfect compliment to one who is already enrolled in a local martial arts school and it will enhance their knowledge and give them an opportunity it to train directly with Tuhon Apolo and his Team via the 3 Apexes of his training system.
What does it include?
This course goes beyond a simple list of videos. The 3 Apexes which are the formula of many of the programs from iKALI includes:
1. Interactive Virtual Classes
2. Online Resource Library where the student can review past classes and
3. Mentors assigned to you with a Private Online Community of students enrolled in the same program just like you. The purpose is to post their assignments in alignment to the Online Interactive Virtual Classes that week while getting skill building support for their continued progress.
How can I get started without any commitment?
We invite you to a FREE WEEK of Online Foundation Videos to prepare you for your Virtual Classes. Once you decide to enroll, you will schedule a Complimentary Live Assessment with a Mentor. That mentor will guide you through everything you will need before you will attend our Level 1: Module 1 - Double Stick Beginners group class. (Don' worry everyone will be of the same experience as you!)
Can I gain Rank from these classes?
The World Kali Association is the sanctioning body that recognizes the rank of any iKALI student. The promotion of the rank is typically assigned via classes and test promotions at a local Filipino Kali Academy, You have the opportunity to receive rank promotions through the FKA Virtual Student program and receive a "Virtual Rank" for your module. Upon completing a module, you will be moved into a new syllabus of curriculum. We encourage you upon reaching the end of Level 1 Module 4 you find a local FKA to convert your virtual rank to an official rank.
